Internal Inventory Management</b></div><div>Oversee and manage the inventory of laboratory supplies, reagents, and equipment, ensuring stock levels are maintained and efficiently utilized to prevent shortages of overstocking.</div><div><b>2. Instrument and Reagent Optimization</b></div><div>Ensure optimal utilization of laboratory instruments and reagents to maximize efficiency and minimize waste, while maintaining the accuracy and quality of test results.</div><div><b>3. NABL (ISO 15189:2022) Compliance</b></div><div>Conduct and maintain laboratory practices in strict adherence to NABL (ISO 15189:2022) standards, ensuring that all processes, documentation, and operations meet accreditation requirements.</div><div><b>4.Quality Control and Assurance</b></div><div>Implement and monitor quality control procedures, including performing daily internal control runs and analyzing Levey-Jennings (LJ) curves. Take corrective actions when needed and document all steps to ensure accurate and reliable test results.</div><div><b>5. Turnaround Time (TAT) Management</b></div><div>Monitor and manage the turnaround time (TAT) for all laboratory services, ensuring timely processing, analysis, and reporting of test results to maintain operational efficiency.</div><div><b>6. Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting</b></div><div>Conduct daily maintenance of laboratory instruments, perform necessary repairs, and ensure timely validation to prevent malfunctions. Document maintenance activities and address issues promptly.</div><div><b>7. Data Management and Documentation</b></div><div>Accurately record and manage test results, ensuring that comprehensive and organized documentation is maintained in line with regulatory and organizational standards, including recording re-runs and corrective actions taken.</div><div><b>8. Training and Mentorship</b></div><div>Provide training and guidance to junior staff and interns, ensuring they are well-versed in laboratory procedures, quality control practices, and safety protocols.</div><div><b>9. Staff Management and Duty Rosters</b></div><div>Manage duty rosters for lab staff to ensure adequate coverage, maintain smooth workflow, and promote a positive working environment that fosters teamwork, communication, and high morale.</div><div><b>10. Lab Operations Management</b></div><div>Oversee the overall management of the lab, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.</div><div>Resolve any issues that arise while promoting continuous improvement and enhancing patient engagement and service utilization.</div><div><b>11. Patient Interaction</b></div><div>When necessary, interact with patients to collect samples, provide clear instructions, ensure their comfort during procedures, and offer post-report counseling as needed.</div><div><b>12. Safety and Regulatory Compliance</b></div><div>Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all laboratory personnel while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.</div><div><b>13. Quality System Improvement</b></div><div>Recommend improvements to the quality management system and testing kits to the Head of Department (HOD) for better performance, accuracy, and patient care.</div><div><b>14. Analytics and Management Reporting</b></div><div>Analyze lab performance data, including test volumes, error rates, and TAT. Prepare regular management reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and quality improvement initiatives. Use data-driven insights to enhance lab efficiency and decision-making. Report to management on weekly basis.</div><div><b>15. Budget Management</b></div><div>Assist in managing the lab's budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources, controlling expenses, and contributing to the financial health of the department.</div><div><b>16. External Vendor and Supplier Management</b></div><div>Liaise with external suppliers and service providers for equipment procurement, reagent supplies, and outsourced services. Negotiate contracts and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness.</div><div><b>17. Audit Preparation and Compliance</b></div><div>Coordinate with internal and external auditors to prepare for laboratory audits. Ensure all documentation and processes meet the required standards for NABL and ISO compliance.</div><div><b>18. Strategic Planning and Development</b></div><div>Contribute to the strategic planning of the laboratory by identifying new technologies, methodologies, and services that can enhance lab performance and patient care.
